1st of May, at the Agrokipio!
On Tuesday, May 1st, the Association of the
Traditional Settlements of Parikia, KDEPAP the Municipal Community of
Paros, with the invaluable support of the Municipality of Paros, are happy to
invite you to the “Agrokipio” to celebrate!
The event will take place in the first open areas of the Agrokipio, near the entrance of the Province Offices. The area, which is among the cypresses, has already been cleared and formed , with easy access. All necessary safety measures have been taken (Fire safety etc.) for a care-free event.
We will all have fun there with the accompaniment of Asterios Rigas and Nikos Giannarakis, we will satisfy every musical preference with DJ Latsos and finally we will go crazy with genuine traditional music with Yannis (Fanios) Aliprantis with Tsambouna and Yakoumis Ragoussis with Doubaki.
There will be a tent for the band, large tables and benches with all the necessary accessories (plates, glasses, cutlery, etc.). Of course there will be ample umbrellas for shading.
The Agrokipio is the countryside within in our City! Everyone can bring their own food, share and prepare (= bake) on the spot. But we will also have extra food there, so don’t hesitate! There will be barbecues, where everyone can bake whatever they want, a pit with coal, fire, infrastructure and plenty of space for anything you can think about, that will be gladly welcome.
There will of course be drinks!!
There, all the Parians and Friends, some with childhood memories and many who never heard of its existence, will be able to see firsthand the infinite possibilities that this unique area can offer.
Through this expression of joy for all, we hope to make all the Parian people, and not only, aware.
The Agrokipio, although cited in Parikia, belongs to all the inhabitants and friends of our island.
There you will also be able to see the aggregated proposed plans of OPAS (Federation of Paros Associations), the Ekatontapyliani association of Parians and the Association of the Traditional Settlements of Parikia for development of the area. There will be discussions (if you wish) about this big issue that concerns us all.
The Assosiation of the Traditional Settlement of Parikia, through carefully selected events such as Tsiknopempti's event at the Koutouki of Thanasis (which is already gone forever…), the Traditional Pezotrata (ask about it), and the Night Party in Agia Anna (Also ask about it), to name a few, wants to make all the Parians (Yes, that includes YOU!) remember the traditional and many forgotten rituals of the daily life of our island. Of course, we are well aware that these events can be reestablished and become great attractions both for the Parians and for our Visitors. Let's get started!
Last but not least, it is worth noting that our donors gave us rich and valuable support, and they all showed their enthusiastic willingness to participate! Thank you all!
